Multiple jobs, all stressful, but I can't do without the money;

So much I want to write, but each week has only 7 days with 24 hours each--

And even if I had the time, well, I can imagine the conversation:

"So what're you writing now?" asked with curious eyes and a small smile while sipping Starbucks' expensively tasteless "gourmet" coffee.

"I'm making a fantasy short story," I reply with fanboy relish, "but something different from the usual medieval thing. Maybe something based on ancient Persia or Crete. I'm already designing the capital city." In my eyes, I can see the battlements and banners, the towers stretching into the the desert sky, the marching armies with ranks that span the horizon.

"Oh, well," she says so super-enthusiastically, and I fall to earth. "When will I read the product?"

"After I finish the spy story, the medieval real-life adventure story, the supernatural detective story, and--"

"Uh-huh. And when will that be?"

Silence.

"Hey," I say cheerfully, "this coffee is really good."
